WHAT WE DO

 

This department monitors offender’s compliance with the conditions ordered by the 109^th Judicial District Court and the Winkler County Court. In accordance with state standards and the Interstate Compact, we also supervise offenders from other jurisdictions who are residents of Winkler County. Our aim is to hold the offender responsible for their actions while assisting them in making positive changes in their lives and behavior.

 

PRIORITIES

 

Public Safety. We will not tolerate assaultive, corruptive behavior or disregard for others property rights.

 

Restitution. Offenders must pay for their misdeeds. Both to the victim with restitution and to the community with fees, fines and community service.

 

Rehabilitation. We provide guidance in becoming a responsible, positive and productive individual, but each person determines their own behavior.
